Setting the Record Straight on "Global Warming" (Climate Change)

Roman month of December 2009
Wow, there seems to be more and more talk on the so-called "global warming," and all I see are two extreme opposites opposed to each other. This needs to be set straight once and for all. The major problem is that no one wants to be balanced and to sit down and think about anything to arrive at a reasonable conclusion on any given matter. Instead, it's in man's carnal nature to jump to one extreme or the other. This is called the right and the left. You hear about it in the news all the time. It's the "far right" or "right wing" people and the "far left" or "left wing" people. For those who actually read and study the Word of God, it is simply the "right" and "left," and the Law makes it crystal clear several times that one should not go to the left nor to the right but to stay on the right path (Deut. 5:32 ). People are absolutely fruity to jump to one extreme or the other and stay fighting against each other, while all along both sides are wrong, and each side has a little bit of truth so as to deceive everyone else. This is great foolishness.
The "global warming" issue is no different. There is the right wing so-called "Christian" view that there is no such thing as global warming and that it's all a big satanic deception in order to control everyone. Then there is the far left wing mother earth worshipers and also those who really don't care about the earth or everyone else on it, but they want to continue to trash out the earth themselves but stop everyone else by enacting a "carbon tax" upon them.
The first thing that needs to be cleared up before I go any further is the term "global warming." I don't like that term, because it has obviously fooled many people. I will use the term "climate change," as it's more accurate. All the radical right-winged people stumble terribly over the "global warming" term. They don't seem to understand the topic very well. To deceive millions into agreeing with them, they cite studies of a cooling earth. Somehow that is supposed to prove that we're not destroying the planet. What difference does it make what temperature the earth is, and just where are all these temperatures being recorded? I imagine it's a different temperature in different places. I don't know the specifics, but people need to use a little sense and also try to remember back to their science lessons in school. If something somewhere is getting entirely too hot, the heat will migrate to a place of less heat! This is why I prefer the term "climate change." Some places are getting hotter, while others are getting colder. This is really a no-brainer when you understand heat (I admit, though, I get to hear about heat more than the average person, as my husband owns and runs an HVAC company, and he's very knowledgeable about heat). All adults should have been schooled, though, about heat migration and weather patterns.
I get to read about the right wing crazies' angry viewpoint on a regular basis, as I have been receiving a couple different newsletters from a "Christian" group called Anti-Communism Crusade for a few years now. There's almost always an article or tidbit about "global warming" in those newsletters. Some of the stuff they say makes no logical sense whatsoever. Yet, I'm sure they continue to keep thousands hoodwinked, because the average person doesn't question a whole lot of anything. Many may profess to be Christians, but they don't listen to the biblical instruction:
I Thess. 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Prov. 14:15 A simple man believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Another recurring theme among these people is documenting historical records of past climate change. Probably what I find most amusing about this is that after they claim we are not experiencing climate change, they then say that we've experienced climate change in the history of our existence on earth, so it's no big deal. So, I wonder what they really believe. Are we or aren't we experiencing climate change? Well, of course we've experienced climate change in history. This earth has experienced all sorts of disasters, and people have been wiped out by the thousands and even by the millions in the past. We had an ice age, so let's get real! The very fact that we've experienced dramatic changes in history ought to cause the warning bell to go off, but I think maybe the bell is broken in some of these people's noggins. Once again, people don't learn from history!
This one fellow emailed me a couple weeks ago. He'd come across my article on the rebuttal of someone who denies "global warming." Then he made comments that made it obvious that he'd not read the entire article. It seems likely that he simply read the title and then assumed the rest. This should be a lesson for anyone not to judge until you've heard the whole matter. The scriptures saith:
Prov. 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
Prov. 29:20 See thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
Now, I'm very aware of what is going on in the world. I know there are those who exalt the mother earth over the Father in heaven and many who exalt the mother earth (the physical) who pay no regard to God at all...the One who provided the mother. But I also am well aware of those who pay lip service to God the Father and to His Firstborn, the Lord, those who claim to love God but do not honor the "mother" He gave to us at all. See, this is once more jumping to conclusions. This is a real past time with folks. The game is played like this: A person or group of persons practices and promotes a doctrine that is wrong (in this case honoring the physical mother more than God the Father), and so a person or group of persons who recognize(s) the other person(s)' error automatically take a far extreme opposing stance, therefore also erring. There's no sitting down and reasoning about the matter. Their stance is that since there are people who put a god before the Most High (in this case "Mother Earth"), they must be the extreme opposite and trash out the earth, neglect it, take too much from it, just "live it up," if you will.
A good father provides a good mother to bear, nourish, and nurture his children and to take care of them while he's away at his work. That is what God did. Our bodies are made of earth (dirt, the word "human" means dirt; it's related to the word humus), the earth brings forth food to nourish us, and the earth provides stunning beauty in sight, sounds, touches, etc. to nurture us. Are we not to honor our Father all the more by honoring the mother he gave to us? Should we not show some thankfulness, some appreciation? A father is to have the upper authority in a household, but is the mother not due any respect? Would a good father not be upset with his children if they disrespected their mother while he's away?
If I give my child a gift, there are two extremes that I do not want to see. I do not want to see him love his gift so much and to be obsessed with it so much that he loves it more than he loves me, the giver of the gift. Nor do I want to see him neglect the care of the item or to actively destroy it. What I do want to see is thankfulness and good stewardship. I want to remain more important than the gift itself, but I want to get joy of seeing him enjoy his gift and to take good care of it, rather than neglect or destroy it.
The left-wing earth worshipers love the earth more than the One who gave it. They've chosen the physical and so have indirectly chosen death. The right-wing loonies lie when they say they love God, because they do not worship Him in spirit and in truth. They pay him lip service but do not do what he commands. They are careless stewards of the earth and are drunk on that trash being brought up out of the ground, namely petroleum. They're also the ones who are most responsible for the continued petroleum and over-logging practices, because the one plant that could turn this planet around (by replacing all petroleum-derived products and much tree-derived products, as well as being the best-known-to-man absorber of carbon dioxide) they absolutely hate. They treat it as some sort of evil.
That plant is cannabis sativa, which they have termed "weed." The Latin name it was given reveals that it is anything but a weed. It means "useful fragrant cane." The name given to the drug the female plant (it's dioecious, having separate male and female plants) produces is marijuana, the Mexican name for Mary Jane. Quite aptly named, for Mary means "bitter," and indeed the wicked war waged against this God-given miracle plant is very bitter and sorrowful. That's just one more topic about which people are so terribly dumbed down. There's no need to discuss it in length here, for I have written nineteen pages on it already. The article can be found on my website about the truth of a much-hated plant.
It is true that the rulers want to slap us all with a carbon tax. Oddly enough, these same people don't seem to care much about stopping the things that are causing the problems in the first place, but rather they want to let it continue but receive more money from it in the form of taxes. People in the government already get paid by the oil companies and other contributors to these earth-destructive problems to keep alternatives from being legalized and promoted, but now they will let it continue and at the same time receive taxes for it. People have it all wrong. This is how nearly everything is done, though. For example, rather than stopping sodomite activity, which is the main contributor to HIV and AIDS being continually spread, people would rather try to produce a drug that cures these ills so that the sodomites can continue in their gross abominations. Another example is instead of growing our food organically (the natural way) and promoting God-given natural defenses to pests (such as healthy soil, ladybugs, birds, etc.), people would rather produce more and more toxic pesticides as the crops do worse and worse due to the natural predators being killed from the poisons and the pests become genetically resistant to the older and milder poisons.
Sodomy and crop-poisoning are the sins, and rather than admitting that these destructive practices are wrong and turning from the sin in order to fix the problems, people tend to turn to more sin to try to cover up the first sins. The problem only becomes worse, rather than better. This is what is happening with the “global warming” and pollution topic. You have the ones who admit there’s a problem, but rather than admit things need to change completely, they want to tax people for the things that are contributing to the problem so that the activities are lessened and the government still makes money. Then you have the others denying there is even a problem.
I think it's sad that people feel the need to shun the facts simply because there are wicked people out there who happen to give some factual information. Why must we continue in a world where there are always two prevailing and opposite sides to nearly everything with both sides having truths and lies? Why not seek out the entire truth? The phrase for that would be that it's "politically incorrect." Ha! That's only if you love the politics of man. If you love the Law of God, the truth and nothing but the truth is what you will love, and it's what is correct. I think the problem is that people don’t want to feel alone. It seems that most just can’t handle being the only one teaching the truth, because of the persecution it brings and the loss of friends in which it results. And people are also so accustomed to idolizing certain people so that they believe anything that person says, without proving whether it is true or not.
The fellow who emailed me told me that global warming is a satanic deception, but the truth is that those who are so stubborn and stiff-necked to admit we are destroying our earthly home are the ones being deceived the most by Satan. The laugh is on them, sadly. Does it really matter that the earth-worshipers are deceived by Satan if the ones who are trashing out the earth are equally deceived, if not more so? Can you just imagine him wickedly laughing, because he has two sides fighting each other fiercely, and both sides are wrong but have enough truth to them so that nearly everyone believes either one or the other? It sounds so much like everything else, how he has everyone to deceived about everything. It’s like the doctrines of mainstream Christianity and those of Islam. They both have truths and lies, and they have fought heavily against each other for thousands of years, accusing the other side of lying, when really both sides are liars.
The man who emailed also asked me whether I really thought that man could destroy the earth that God made. Now, if he means "destroy" as ultimately consume where it does not exist, then no, I do not believe that. But, yes, I believe man can destroy this planet so that it can no longer support physical life. The bible even says it is so. My Lord said that if he did not return, then there would be no flesh left alive because of all the warring and other destructive practices. In another place it is revealed that God must destroy those who are destroying the earth. It's pretty clear to me that man can indeed destroy the earth and that God does not like it.
Man is destroying the earth in many ways. He's not only messing up the weather patterns and thereby more slowly, the climate; but he's also destroying plants, animals, and himself; he's destroying the water, the air, and the soil. We have so many wicked practices being engaged, and those who want to deny climate change are part of the problem. What a difference it may make if all those who deny that we're destroying our planet and ourselves would fight for correcting the problems in a better manner than continuing in the sin that is causing it in the first place and just adding a carbon tax penalty. There would be no need for a carbon tax if the things that need to be done would be done. Man needs to change his ways. That's all there is to it. We have too many toxins destroying the environment and the genetic makeup of plants, animals, and people. It's time to wake up, people.
It's time to confess the sin and do something about it, rather than fight on one of the two opposing sides of deceit. It's great folly to think that we can do everything that we do and it have no negative effect on the earth. If we continue to cut trees down at the rate we are, we will run out. If we continue to pump petroleum and mine coal from the earth and burn this stuff into our environment and produce non-biodegradable crap with it, we will continue to get sicker and the planet uglier and sicker. If we continue to use toxic metals such as mercury, lead, and aluminum and let them loose in our air and water (where they end up in the fish and then us), we will continue to become more neurologically- and autoimmune-impaired. If we continue to genetically engineer crops, we will continue to develop more allergies and other strange illnesses and also will eventually starve from famine. I could go on and on. There are many ills plaguing us, simply because no one wants to admit what we're doing is harmful. No one wants to change. It's easier to come up with a lie and play if off as truth since the opposing side is obviously wrong in some points. But if the other side is wrong, and your side is, too, then what makes you any better than they?
If you want the truth, you must make an effort. You have to do your research...unbiased research. Looking at one side of the story and then making a decision is not the way of a wise man. A wise man considers carefully and identifies the truths and lies on both sides of any topic, and then he arrives at the truth, and that becomes his stance. People seem to be oblivious to this being an option, but it is, and it should be what one does with everything. There are far too many close-minded people who do not want to get all the facts before they form a doctrine. Are you one of them, reader?
I've left out many facts about climate change and other problems our planet has, because it's time that those who are reading this go do their own research. It's good practice. If you won't learn to do this, then you will fall for lies all of your life, no matter what side you are on.
